My New Going-Out Outfit Sorted
The recent autumn and winter ready-to-wear fashion week brought forth different trends. Specifically in color, we saw brands crushing over the bold and bright such as bougainvillea pink, sunflower yellow, turquoise and cobalt. Even though rust (and burnt orange) was the dominating color of 2018, it seems like it will continue to stick around in 2019. Rust is an earthy tone and if anything, earthy tones do not budge from the fashion trend roaster as much. So investing in this color is a safe bet!
As some of you would have noticed by now, I rarely wear dresses, I think there are just a handful of dressy looks featured here since I began blogging in 2009! And since I have turned a fresh sartorial leaf; I am giving new styles and silhouettes a try.
Here, I am wearing a Boohoo rust colored satin shirt dress, paired with a chunky belt that had some interesting details like a silver chain and ring. I accessorized with a black sock boot from Public Desire, a faux leather bucket bag and tortoise shell acrylic earrings from Famushu Boutique. I loved wearing this look mainly because it was comfortable, the satin felt great against my skin and the splits at the front gave some edge to an otherwise conservative style. The belt’s strong look complemented a feminine silhouette and seems to create an overall balanced outfit.
For this look, I collaborated with a talented duo – make-up artist Rizna and photographer Navin. I felt amazing after getting my make-up done by her!
